Tender awarded and Buy Local grants approved

Monday, 13 Jan 2020

The RFBAQ management committee met on Friday 10th January and awarded the tender to build 6 light attack fire trucks for 6 brigades without a fire truck to QuikCorp fire engineering.

The 1st of these prototype vehicles on a Toyota LandCruiser chassis will be displayed at Rural Fire Brigade volunteer summits in May and June.

Following on from that, the 6 light attacks will be moved around Queensland to engage with brigades and volunteers to receive feedback and design suggestions.

These 6 fire trucks will be given to deserving brigades without a fire truck ahead of the 2020 fire season.

These fire trucks with an expected price of $750,000 are 100% funded by a very generous donation to the RFBAQ.
