Rural Fire Station Funding and 200 Crew Protection Sprays
Wednesday, 29 Jun 2022

At the almost completed Maryborough fire station, Minister Mark Ryan MP announced that a target of 200 RFSQ medium attacks will be fitted with crew protection this year.
Read the Ministers statement (link below) about the safety systems and also the big uplift in spending on new stations/sheds and upgrading of the stations/sheds that have no floors, doors, power or toilets.
If you are a brigade with a truck and no shed, shed with no floor, door or toilet; then contact your local RFSQ Area Office about what you need. This will then be sent to state to collate.
The new Maryborough fire station does not have a pole, it has a slide.
Local MP Bruce Saunders, long time advocate for all firefighters, has secured funding for a Rural Fire training hub and deployment facility. This will be of great benefit to north coast brigade members and will serve as a possible model for a wider rollout that meets local needs.
