Dianne Hales has stepped down from the role as Emerald RFBAQ Representative.
We would like to thank Dianne for putting herself forward to be a representative and wish her well.
Below is an excerpt from Dianne’s resignation letter.
I would like you to let all the rest of the RFBAQ team know that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and all the knowledge that each and every rep has been able to give me and help me to understand and appreciate the work that we do across the whole state for all volunteers.
Without the RFBAQ, there would definitely be less volunteers and more unprotected smaller communities, because as we all know if people feel that their volunteering efforts are not supported and undervalued, then they just won’t bother to put themselves forward. I feel honoured and proud to have been able to contribute, in any way to this great organisation, and especially in helping our wonderful volunteers, and spreading the message of what the RFBAQ does, which I will continue to do.
All the best
As this is during the triennial election process for all RFBAQ Reps, and nomination forms have been sent to all registered Rural Fire Brigades, the Emerald RFBAQ Rep role will remain vacant until the end of the election process in September.
