Congratulations to the 40 Rural Fire Brigades who are receiving “mop-up units” from Anglo American

Thursday, 11 Jun 2020

At the height of the bushfire season Anglo American rang the RFBAQ about how best to make a $300,000 donation turn into equipment for brigades.

Rural Fire Brigades in the Banana Shire Council, Isaac Regional Council and Central Highlands Regional Council areas will soon be receiving their new units that will be used in the upcoming fire season.

Manufactured in Queensland by Quikcorp Fire Engineering, these 40 units all have a trusted Honda motor and Davey firefighter pump along with a 500 ltr tank and speed loader frame.

The RFBAQ approached the Rural Fire Service Queensland who have kindly undertaken to add foam units and light masts to every unit and also to pay for the freight out to the brigades.

40 hoses in the hands of 40 brigades will certainly help local brigades defend their communities.

Thank you Anglo American and RFSQ.
