Major prize winner and Rural Fire Volunteer Leonard Harris couldn’t believe his luck when he collected his brand-new Toyota Prado.

Leonard was taken by surprise when he received the exciting news and was still in disbelief when he was handed the keys to his new vehicle.

When he purchased the tickets, he just thought of it as a donation more than anything. He has won a few meat trays and chook raffles throughout the years but nothing like this!

Being a volunteer himself, Leonard knows the important role they play in keeping communities safe and was more than happy to support. Leonard has been a volunteer since the 1970s starting out as Fire & Rescue then later joined his local Brigade.

Growing up in a rural setting with a community focused family, Leonard found himself naturally interested in becoming a volunteer. Leonard now resides in North Queensland and is a member of the Davies Creek Rural Fire Brigade.

We would like to say a big thank you to Leonard for his support and wish him the very best with his new car.
