Landcruiser Sahara winner

Manse from the RFBAQ handed over the Landcruiser Sahara that was the Major Prize for Art Union 100.

Lynette H. from Jimboomba was the lucky winner but unfortunately was unable to make it to Gympie to collect her new car, so her son Marcus made the trip up on her behalf.

Marcus explained that his mum and dad live on a property and have had firsthand experience due to fires in the past with their local Rural Fire Brigade saving their home from bushfire.

Marcus also said that to them living on the land and driving a Landcruiser is the Aussie dream.

Due to their experiences with fires, they are happy to support the brigades and will continue buying tickets in the RFBAQ art unions as Marcus mentioned “mum loves supporting the underdogs”.

The H. family would like to thank all the volunteers, brigades and the RFBAQ for the work they do.

The RFBAQ is an association that exists to service its membership, which is all Rural Fire Brigades in Queensland.

The objects for which the Association is established are: -

-To consider and make representation in matters affecting the welfare and efficiency of Rural Fire Brigades and Brigade Members.

-To provide financial assistance and support to Rural Fire Brigades and their Brigade Members.
