Three grant applications were tabled at the management committee meeting on the 7th February in Gympie.
Boonimba RFB in the Fraser Coast Cooloola RFSQ Area applied for $5,000 for a fridge, bbq, blower and brushcutter.
The brigade is a PPB classification with 14 active members and 7 support members.
Boonimba has previously received from RFBAQ grants a $5,000 Buy Local Brigade grant for a watertank, thermal imaging camera, sat sleeve, slip on unit, portable radios x 2 grants.
Neerdie RFB in the Fraser Coast Cooloola RFSQ Area applied for $1,745 for laptop and printer.
The brigade has 6 active members and 2 support members and has previously received a thermal imaging camera from the RFBAQ.
Cungulla RFB in the Townsville RFSQ area applied for $7,500 to paint the inside of their ageing fire shed and the roller doors.
The brigade has 13 active members and 4 support members and alongside the 2 medium attacks, the fire shed houses the QAS First Responder vehicle.
In the last financial year, the RFBAQ has provided $866,163.98 ex GST to brigades through the donation of the FusionCruiser, Buy Local Brigade Grants, Standard Grants, Brigade Resource packs and Brigade Specific Donations.
Over the last 5 years the RFBAQ has provided over $6 million, which is a phenomenal achievement for a small state-based charity.
